چکیده

Background Self-management refers to the patient’s ability manage a large range of consequences such as symptoms, medication, emotions, and preferable life-style changes coherent with living chronic disease. Evaluating effect interventions targeting improve people inflammatory arthritis (IA) self-management is challenge because are complex consensus on important outcomes lacking. Solutions these issues could be Core Outcome Set (COS) describing what relevant should applied in future studies hereby lessening heterogeneity between studies. The purpose this study was therefore take first actions identifying possible candidate for COS. Objectives aim identify, map outcome domains measurement instruments from previous trials measuring IA. Methods We performed an informative systematic literature review following guidance Handbooks described by ‘Outcome Measures Rheumatology’ (OMERACT) ‘Core Effectiveness Trials’ (COMET) initiatives. Randomized non-randomized their experimental intervention “self-management” included population adults (≥18 years) at least 50% diagnoses IA (Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic Spondylarthritis) included. Both screening data extraction independently two reviewers. Extracted included: characteristics, corresponding instruments. During analysis reviewers simultaneously grouped categorized subdomains, senior researchers approved categorization. Results Searches 2021.02.08 online databases, trial registers, conference abstracts references trials. From total 2,502 records, we 38 published 1988 2021. were heterogenic patients primarily female, diagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritis, calculated mean age 54 years. identified 12 different domains, covering 39 collected 119 most frequently self-efficacy, pain, physical functioning/disability, anxiety depression, quality life, fatigue, global assessment/disease activity coping. Please see Figure 1 all identified. varied within each domain up 10 measure same domain. Instruments predominantly patient-reported outcomes. Conclusion used widely diverse differ current general OMERACT Sets conditions. Further steps towards establishment COS reported will enhance relevance subsequent impact body evidence References protocol registered PROSPERO (ID CRD42021238749). [1]OMERACT Handbook 2019.
